Digitization of Roman glass artifacts in 3D - Phase 1

In collaboration with the Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad and Dr. Isidora Đurić, a project was carried out to digitize four glass vessels from the Roman period as part of the exhibition "Glass". This project enabled the creation of 3D models of the digitized objects, which are available in 360 degrees via a web platform, as well as in augmented reality within the exhibition space using QR codes. The digitized objects are accessible in 360 degrees through an interactive web platform, as well as in augmented reality within the exhibition space by scanning QR codes. This application enhances the visitor experience by allowing them to explore the details of Roman glass sculptures in a new and innovative way. The project focused on high-resolution digitization of the glass vessels, resulting in detailed models that enrich the understanding of Roman glassmaking. An interactive website was developed to showcase the 3D models of the digitized artifacts, along with augmented reality integration to improve the overall visitor experience.

Results and Impact:

The project enabled visitors to explore the details of Roman glass vessels in a virtual environment and/or augmented reality, made accessible through QR codes placed next to the exhibited items.
