Bođani Monastery Virtual Tour
In collaboration with the Matica Srpska Gallery from Novi Sad and the Faculty of Technical Sciences, a project titled Virtual Tour of the Bođani Monastery was carried out. The interactive 360 virtual tour allows visitors to explore and move through the monastery as if they were really there. As part of the project, modern technology using a 360 camera was applied, enabling complete visual documentation of the entire space, both the interior and exterior of the Bođani Monastery. After capturing the space, the obtained photographs were used to create an interactive tour that people can access via web browsers or VR devices. Within the virtual tour, visitors are also provided with additional information about the icons on the iconostasis inside the Bođani Monastery.
Results and Impact:
The virtual tour of the Bođani Monastery has enabled a large number of people to visit the monastery and its grounds without the need for a physical visit. Besides the tour itself, the project aims to educate visitors about the icons and frescoes inside the monastery. The project helps preserve and promote cultural heritage through the application of modern technologies.
