The Virtual Studio of the Painter Milan Konjović

The project Virtual Studio of Sculptor Đorđe Jovanović was realized in collaboration with the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad and Dr. Isidora Đurić (Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad). The aim of the project was the digital reconstruction and presentation of the studio and artistic work of the painter Milan Konjović. Using available photo documentation, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the studio was created, faithfully depicting the environment in which the artist worked. The virtual tour allows visitors to move freely in 360 degrees and explore the interior of the reconstructed studio, as well as some of the most significant paintings of Milan Konjović. Through the synergy of archival sources and contemporary technologies, an interactive and educational virtual environment has been created, enabling visitors to gain deeper insight into the space and works of one of the most important Serbian painters of the 20th century.

Results and Impact:

The virtual tour of Milan Konjović’s studio allows visitors, by using contemporary technologies and available photo documentation, to explore the space where the artist created and to view some of his most important works from the collections of the Gallery of Matica Srpska in Novi Sad and the Milan Konjović Gallery in Sombor. This project contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage and plays an important role in the education and promotion of Serbian art. By combining historical sources with an interactive digital environment, it presents the artistic legacy of the great painter Milan Konjović to a wider audience in an innovative and engaging way.
